Effect of histogram resolution on detector 𝑅_tp and 𝑅_fd. The cluster length is 3 and thresholds are 1.2𝜎_I⟨𝛽⟩, 1.4𝜎_I⟨𝛽⟩, and 1.6𝜎_I⟨𝛽⟩. 𝑅_tp improves with resolution while 𝑅_fd deteriorates. 𝛽=20 with a threshold of 1.2𝜎_I⟨20⟩ yields the best performance.
