Recent Trends in Wireless Sensor Networks with Applications

Call for Papers

In recent years, wireless sensor networks (WSNs) are beginning to be deployed at an accelerated pace. It is expected that the world will be covered with wireless sensor networks with access to them via the Internet. Mobile wireless sensor networks (MWSNs) are a particular class of WSNs in which mobility plays a key role in the execution of the application. This new technology is exciting with unlimited potential for numerous application areas including medicine, environment, military, transportation, entertainment, crisis management, homeland defense, and smart spaces.

There also has been much attraction on MWSNs during the past decades. Several international conferences and workshops were held in the light of this stream. In view of growing interests in these topics, we plan to organize this special issue.

We invite investigators to contribute original research articles as well as review articles that will stimulate the continuing efforts to the aforementioned stream.

Potential topics include, but are not limited to:

  • Data analysis and mining in wireless sensor networks
  • Models for performance-aware optimizations in wireless sensor networks
  • Massive data processing in sensor networks
  • Cognitive radio techniques for MWSNs
  • Resource allocation, energy harvesting, and optimization for MWSNs
  • Game theory and its applications
  • Node localization and discovery algorithms for MWSNs
  • Algorithms and theories for wireless sensor networks related to robustness issues
  • Robust routing/coverage algorithms in wireless sensor networks

Authors can submit their manuscripts via the Manuscript Tracking System at http://mts.hindawi.com/submit/journals/ijdsn/rtws/.
