Rat GK and GKA456V overexpression in the livers of STZ-treated mice. 60 μg of pControl, pGK, or pGKA456V were hydrodynamically-transfected to diabetic mice. (a) GK protein content of liver homogenates was determined by Western blot. A representative blot and densitometric analysis is shown. (b) Further confirmation of GK overexpression was obtained by analysis of specific GK activity in liver extracts at different glucose concentration.
