Effects of acylated ghrelin on the mRNA expression of genes involved in lipid and glucose metabolism. mRNA expression of the glucose transporter 4 (GLUT4), AMP-activated protein kinase (AMPK), and uncoupling protein 3 (UCP3) in primary cultured rat myoblasts under high fat conditions was determined by real-time polymerase chain reaction.
