We stratified the study group according to BMI levels: BMI < 25 kg/m2; normal-weight group; BMI ≥ 25 kg/m2: overweight/obese group. Then, we stratified each group according to serum TSH levels; all continuous parameters were presented as mean ± standard deviation, after adjustment for age and gender.
