Recent Advances in Electrochemical Sensors

Call for Papers

Nowadays, the electrochemical sensors represent the most promising class of chemical sensors that deals the supply incessant information about its chemical environment. In other words, a chemical sensor provides required responses directly related to the extent (sometimes quality) of a specific chemical species. This electrochemical tool plays vital role in detecting trace level of contaminants, hazardous chemicals from aqueous medium. In addition, electrochemical techniques are also exploited routine analysis of drugs. Novel materials like oxides, sulphides, bimetallic composites, magnetic nanoparticles, graphene, carbon nanotubes, functionalized materials, biomaterials, semiconductors, and so on are playing a pioneering role in development of electrocatalysts concerning sensor developments. Hence, it is worth the time to organize a special issue such that thoughts of esteemed researchers could be lodged on the same platform.

This special issue seeks manuscripts that will describe new genera of materials and methods concerning sensor development from the view of experiments, simulation, real sample analysis, reaction kinetics, and so on.

Potential topics include but are not limited to the following:

  • Electrochemical sensors for water purification
  • Biosensor
  • Bimetallic and oxide based sensors
  • Electrochemical sensors for drug analysis
  • Nonaqueous electrochemical sensing
  • Electrokinetics

Authors can submit their manuscripts through the Manuscript Tracking System at

Submission DeadlineFriday, 22 June 2018
Publication DateNovember 2018

Papers are published upon acceptance, regardless of the Special Issue publication date.
