GPA-MDS: A Visualization Approach to Investigate Genetic Architecture among Phenotypes Using GWAS Results

GPA-MDS framework. In this framework, by taking the association -value for each SNP from each GWAS study as an input, we first calculate a distance matrix between phenotypes using the pleiotropy hypothesis testing procedures in the GPA framework. Then, we generate a plot depicting a global picture of genetic relationship among phenotypes by projecting phenotypes onto two-dimensional space using the multidimensional scaling (MDS) algorithm based on this distance matrix.
