Effects of the treatment with AVE0991 in a model of renal ischemia and reperfusion in mice. AVE0991 (AVE, 9.0 mg/kg) or vehicle (VE; 10 mM KOH in 0.9% NaCl) was given immediately after ischemia and 12 h after reperfusion. All analyses were performed at 24 h after reperfusion. Serum creatinine (a), number of neutrophils in blood (b), levels of CXCL1/KC (c), and relative number of neutrophils in renal tissue (d) are shown as the mean ± SEM from six mice per group. * when compared with VE-treated animals; # when compared with sham-operated animals (CT, control).
