Lipopolysaccharide from Rhodobacter sphaeroides Attenuates Microglia-Mediated Inflammation and Phagocytosis and Directs Regulatory T Cell Response

Treg cells confer tolerogenic potential to microglia. CD4+ T cells were treated with recombinant IL-2 in presence or absence of IL-10 for 72 hrs and the supernatants were used for pretreatment of microglia followed by stimulation with LPS; production of nitric oxide (a) and TNF-α (b) into the culture medium was analysed by Griess reagent and ELISA, respectively.
