Nicotine Inhibits<i> Clostridium difficile</i> Toxin A-Induced Colitis but Not Ileitis in Rats

<div>The effects of toxin A with and without pretreatment with nicotine on colonic LTB<sub>4</sub> content. Toxin A significantly stimulated colonic LTB<sub>4</sub> content and this effect was inhibited by pretreatment with nicotine but was not statistically significant (<svg height="8.8423pt" id="M22"
