Cytotoxic Activity and Lymphocyte Subtypes in Mice Selected for Maximal and Minimal Inflammatory Response after Transplantation of B16F10 and S91 Melanoma Cells

Cytotoxic activity of effector nonadherent spleen cells of acute inflammatory response (AIR) mice (n = 6) using lactate dehydrogenase activity released into the supernatant from the cytosol of damaged cells. The results are expressed as a mean percentage and standard deviation of specific lysis against the Yac.1 target cells (effector to target cell ratio 10:1). Lowercase letters indicate comparison of cytotoxic activity within the same AIR mouse line (a > b,  < 0.05); capital letters indicate a comparison of cytotoxic activity between AIRmax and AIRmin (A > B,  < 0.05).
