Colocalization of activated QASP4.1- and QCASP5.1-induced fluorescence (yellow) with caspase-3 IF (red) in HME cells. Cells were either untreated (control) or treated with staurosporine 1 μM for 6 h, in the absence or the presence of the caspase-3 inhibitor Z-Asp(OMe)-Gln-Met-Asp(OMe)-CH2F (100 μM). Nuclei are stained with Hoechst and appear blue. The orange staining represents the colocalization of QCASP4.1 or QCASP5.1 (yellow) with caspase-3 mAb (red; magnification x20).
