Homologues of PNPase, RNase J2, and RNase Y were aligned from the different Gram-positive organisms, Bacillus subtilis 168, Bacillus anthracis A0248, Staphylococcus aureus N315, Clostridium difficile 630, and Listeria monocytogenes HCC23. Alignments were made using the multigenome alignment tool on http://www.biocyc.org/. Red lines indicate directly adjacent regions of the chromosome and the diagonal lines indicate a chromosomal gap. Genes that are conserved in bacteria are shown with the same color.
