Relative expression of sarA, sigB, icaA, and icaR genes in a S. aureus strain. The SA139 strain was grown to the exponential phase and then treated with diclofenac (50 and 80 μg/mL). Medium without diclofenac was used as the control. The gyrB gene was used as an endogenous reaction control. Each bar represents the mean of relative expression with range for biological triplicates.
