ApoE-deficient mice developed hypertension which was prevented by enalapril or enalapril + paricalcitol treatment (not by paricalcitol alone). Atherosclerotic plaque in the aorta of ApoE-deficient mice was prevented by paricalcitol, enalapril, and paricalcitol + enalapril treatments
