Backscatter coefficient profiles (a) and map of the aerosol stratification (b) measured on 20 June, 2011. Four backscatter profiles are presented, each averaged for one hour time of measurement. The marks on the profiles show the estimated height of the upper limit of the planetary boundary layer (PBL). In morning time, a well-distinguished aerosol layer is observed at 1500 to 3000 m altitude AGL.
