Photoinduced Processes in Transition Metal Compounds

Call for Papers

Photoinduced processes play an important role in chemistry and material science of transition metal compound. The transition metal compounds, especially in the form of nanoparticles, are actively used to create new types of catalyzers, chemical sensors, photogalvanic cells, and photonic devices. The deep understanding of photoinduced processes will allow us to significantly increase the efficiency of such compounds and devices.

We invite authors to contribute original research articles as well as review articles where the photoinduced processes of transition metal compounds such as photochemical and photophysical processes and laser thermal activation processes are studied. Moreover, we solicit the research contributions where the mechanisms of photoinduced processes in transition metal compounds are studied, including excited state dynamics, complex formation, and charge transfer. Also, we invite authors to contribute research articles where the applications of the new materials and devices based on transition metal compounds are designed upon light irradiation.

Potential topics include but are not limited to the following:

  • Photochemistry and photophysics of metal complexes including organometallic complexes and metal cluster compounds in solution
  • Photoinduced processes in nanoparticles, semiconductors, sensors, and photonic devices based on transition metal compounds
  • Design of new photocatalysts, photovoltaic devises, phototherapy anticancer drugs, photoaffinity labels, development of new approaches of organic synthesis, and so on based on transition metal compounds
