Resuscitation for Pediatric Shock and Cardiac Arrest

Call for Papers

The golden guidelines for pediatric resuscitation have been updated by American Heart Association (AHA) on Jan 2, 2018 (Pediatric Task Force of the International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation evidence review). Prehospital resuscitation for achieving adequate organs perfusion is emphasized for shock or cardiac arrest in children. Furthermore, the significance of prehospital and postresuscitative care (witness chest compression and ventilation) is demonstrated to predictably associate with patient survival and neurological outcomes. Many recurrent studies highlighted the topics regarding the new changes of resuscitation; therefore, we aim to provide an opportunity to widely introduce the related researches. We solicit high quality, original research articles as well as review articles focused on the field of pediatric emergency and critical care, especially on the resuscitation for pediatric shock and cardiac arrest.

Potential topics include but are not limited to the following:

  • Neonatal resuscitation
  • In-hospital or out-of-hospital pediatric cardiac arrest
  • Shock and pediatric resuscitation managements
  • Pediatric Resuscitation training and educations
  • Prehospital care, EMS managements for Pediatrics
  • Extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECOM), hypothermia, and postresuscitation care for Pediatrics
  • Trauma related critical care medicine for Pediatrics
  • Infections, toxicology, and cardiovascular emergency
  • Molecular, cell, and animal studies associated with critical care or emergency medicine
