The figure represents plasma levels of corticosterone (a) and leptin (pg/mL) (b) following three weeks voluntary exercise. Corticosterone decreased by 18% in the female runners ( 𝑃 < 0 . 0 1 ) and leptin by 60% ( 𝑃 < 0 . 0 5 ).
