The number was the sum of numbers of all ESTs above the line including those of G. arboreum, G. raimondii and G. hirsutum [102]. Of the 247,979 cotton ESTs, 187,014 (75.4%) were from developing fibers or ovules whereas 160,965 (24.6%) from nonfiber or nonovule organs.
