Antibacterial Additive for Polystyrene Based on Silver Nanoparticles Supported on Titanium Dioxide

TEM images of silver nanoparticles (arrows) deposited on TiO₂, synthesized at pH 9 (a), pH 11 (b), and pH 12 (c). At all the pH values showed, nanoparticles presented the same form with an average size ranging from 5.6 to 6.0 nm, while the average size of TiO₂ was  nm. At pH 9, Ag nanoparticles were more abundant. The scale line represents 20 nm.
