In Vivo Evaluation of a Decellularized Limbal Graft for Limbal Reconstruction

Experiment was designed to create a focal limbal injury by laser followed by grafting with a decellularized human limbus. (a) Nidek EC-5000 excimer laser system was used to ablate corneal tissue under anesthesia from a rat eye at the limbal area (junction of cornea and sclera). Arrows pointing to the area of ablation.
