Analysis of Clinical Outcome of Patients with Poorly Differentiated Thyroid Carcinoma

Of 29 patients with poorly differentiated carcinoma, two died of disease, and of 227 with well-differentiated carcinoma, four died of disease. The 10-year cause-specific survival rates were 89.3% for PDTC and 98.7% for WDTC. Despite the low number of disease-related deaths, there was a significant difference between the two groups ( 𝑃 < . 0 5 ).
