Criteria of risk reducing salpingo-oophorectomy.
Proven germline mutations in BRCA1 or BRCA2 genes in themselves or at least one of their close relatives OR
Personal history of breast cancer before the 36th year of age OR
Family history of breast and/or ovarian cancer even in the absence of an identifiable mutation with
(i) at least two first-degree relatives diagnosed with cancer: at least one with invasive breast cancer before the age of 41 years or ovarian cancer at any age OR
(ii) three first- or second-degree relatives from the same lineage diagnosed with breast and/or ovarian cancer at any age
