| Clinical remission | <150 | Spontaneous or posttreatment remission | Mild to moderate Crohn’s disease | 150–220 | Good oral intake, mild symptoms, and absence of dehydration. Ambulatory followup is sufficient. | Moderate to severe Crohn’s disease | 220–450 | Irresponsiveness to first line therapy, presence of systemic symptoms. | Severe-fulminant Crohn’s disease | >450 | Persisting symptoms despite therapy or presence of high fever, obstruction symptoms, peritoneal signs, cachexia, or intraabdominal abscess. |
