The study population was divided into 3 age groups, namely, under 20 years of age or adolescents, 20–29 years of age and 30 or more years of age. Prevalence rate of NRI was calculated in each age group. Distribution of NRI among Whites (a), Hispanics (b), and Native Americans (c). NRI persisted in all age groups among Native Americans at a higher rate when compared to Hispanics and Whites.
