Proteome cleavage of more common amino acids, such as with (a) trypsin or the theoretical cleavage after (b) leucine, results in residue-specific depletion of the target residues. However, cleavage of rare amino acids, such as (c) methionine or (d) cysteine, results in residue-specific enrichment of the target residues.
