Histological and immunohistochemical analysis of RHE either unstimulated or stimulated with the IL-22, TNFα, IL-4, and IL-13 mixture (AD) or IL-17, IL-22, and TNFα mixture (PSO) for 48 h. Individual cytokine concentration was 3 ng/mL. RHE were cultured for 10 days at air-liquid interface before treatment. Tissues were fixed and embedded in paraffin and 4-μm vertical sections were stained with hematoxylin-eosin or immunolabeled using antifilaggrin, anti-S100A7, or anti-hBD2 mAbs.
