Intracisternally Injected L-Proline Activates Hypothalamic Supraoptic, but Not Paraventricular, Vasopressin-Expressing Neurons in Conscious Rats
Figure 1
Changes in arterial blood pressure and heart rate following intracisternal injection of L-proline or ACSF. The arterial blood pressure increased, but the mean heart rate decreased, 5–30 min after an intracisternal injection of L-proline in freely moving rats. One-way ANOVA showed a significant difference () in the heart rate of the L-proline-treated group, but no specific times were detected by Dunnett’s test when control value was “before.” Results are presented as means ± SE. ** and * by one-way ANOVA followed by Dunnett’s test.
