At the request of the authors, the article titled “Modeling Access to Public Transport in Urban Areas” [1] has been retracted. There is a significant overlap in the methodology and conclusions with an earlier article by the same authors published in the Journal of Transport Geography, “Public Transport Accessibility in Metropolitan Areas: A New Approach Incorporating Population Density” [2]. This article was cited in the text, and a corrigendum was published to describe the difference between the two articles [3]. However, RMIT University has requested retraction.
