Lignin formation in the leaves of tomato cultivars at various time points before and after inoculation with Rhizoctonia solani. Data are means (± standard error) of four replicates of a representative experiment. Each replicate consisted of one sample pooled from six individual plants. The experiment was repeated twice with similar results.
