Lateral root number and lateral root density were determined after 12 days of culture. Arabidopsis seedlings were grown on media containing 1 μM PO₄₃₋ or 1 mM PO₄₃₋or on the same media supplemented with 100–500 μM ASC. Seedlings of vtc1 mutant were grown on medium containing either 1 μM PO₄₃₋ or 1 mM PO₄₃₋. Data represent mean and standard deviation. *Significant differences from control with 𝑃<0.05.
