Abstract

A series of 3-aryl-5-styrylisoxazoline/ 3,5-diarylisoxazoline derivatives were synthesized by the reaction of appropriately substituted chalcones and hydroxylamine hydrochloride in presence of alkali in ethanol. The synthesized heterocycles have been characterized on the basis of their chemical properties and spectroscopic data.
