Bacterial killing by colostral phagocytes. Phagocytes with PEG microspheres with adsorbed glycine internalized (panel (a)). The phagocytes were incubated with bacteria on a shaker 50 rpm for 30 min at 37°C. After washing at 4°C, cells were stained with acridine orange and analyzed by fluorescent microscopy.
