Anti-Inflammatory Compounds from Vietnamese Piper bavinum

Inhibitory effect of compounds 4 and 5 on the LPS-induced NO production in RAW 264.7 cells. RAW 264.7 cells were pretreated with different concentrations (1, 3, 10, and 30 μM) of the tested compounds for 1 h and then with LPS (1 μg/mL) and incubated for 24 h. Control values were obtained in the absence of LPS and compounds. The data are expressed as the mean ± SD (n = 3). Statistical significance was assessed by two-tailed unpaired Student’s t-test, and was considered statistically significant.
