Optimal Control, Safety Technology, and Electromagnetic Compatibility in the Driving System of Electric Vehicle

Description

With the development of electric vehicle (EV), there is emerging research focuses such as intelligent vehicle (IV), smart car, or intelligent connected vehicle (ICV) on electric vehicle. Accordingly, the driving system mainly includes power battery pack, motor, motor driving system, and convertor circuit, which affected the running security, and driving reliability directly is the key part to EV, and with the complexity of running electromagnetic environment of EV, it is very important to study optimal control, safety technology, and electromagnetic compatibility in the driving system of EV. Motor includes DC motor, permanent magnet synchronous motor, induction motor, switched reluctance motor, and contour motor.

This special issue is to provide a forum for researchers and practitioners to exchange their latest achievements on optimal control, safety technology, and electromagnetic compatibility in the driving system of EV. Original contributions that are not yet published or that are not currently under review in other journals or peer-reviewed conferences are invited, in particular, manuscripts containing novel ideas and algorithms with practical/experimental applications.

Potential topics include but are not limited to the following:

  • Motor design
  • Optimal control in the motor driving system
  • Nonlinear optimal control for EV motors /power electronics of EVs
  • Power electronic technology on GaN
  • Novel power electronic technology in the driving system of EV
  • Fault diagnosis/fault-tolerant technique in power electronic or motor driving system
  • State estimate of SOC (state of charge), SOP (state of power), and SOH (state of health) of power battery
  • Powertrain system integration for EV
  • Electromagnetic compatibility in the convertor circuit, GaN circuit, motor driving system, and EV, IV, and ICV
  • Intelligent control/robust control/adaptive control for EV
