Target genes regulated by CREB and ICER in pancreatic β-cells. Typically phosphorylation of CREB results from the protein kinase A (PKA) activity. PKA activity is stimulated by the G protein coupled receptor-induced increase of cAMP. Some genes regulated by CREB and consequently ICER are listed in the schema.
