A DM model was established by feeding rats a high-fat diet and injecting them with a low dose of STZ. After the model was established, PEP (150, 300, and 600 mg/kg) was administered intragastrically for 28 d. Blood samples from the caudal vein were collected to determine FBG levels using a blood glucose meter. The data are presented as the mean ± standard deviation ( rats).
