Effects of MG on Ucp2 mRNA and UCP2 protein levels in MIN6 cells. The expression of Ucp2 mRNA (a) and UCP2 protein ((b) and (c)) was increased by treatment with MG. Cells were incubated with 0.05 or 0.1 mM MG for 3 h. Results are fold change compared to baseline (0 mM MG + 0 mM NAC). The effects of MG were reversed by coincubation with NAC. compared to control group (0 mM MG + 0 mM NAC). , compared to the higher MG group (0.1 mM MG + 0 mM NAC).
