The effect of immunosuppressant drugs on gene expression of IL-1beta and IL-8 in human islets. Human islets cultured without or with tacrolimus (TAC 30 µg/L), sirolimus (SRL 30 µg/L), or a combination thereof for 24 hours were tested for gene expression of (a) IL-1beta and (b) IL-8 by qPCR in relation to the control gene -actin.
