TXNIP, NLRP3, procaspase-1, and IL-1β were also significantly induced by several high concentrations of glucose at 24 h. The highest relative expression of these factors was observed in the 30 mmol/L high glucose group (a, b) (NC: 5.6 mmol/L glucose; HG1: 10 mmol/L glucose; HG2: 20 mmol/L glucose; HG3: 30 mmol/L glucose; OP: 5.6 mmol/L glucose + 24.4 mmol/L mannitol) ( versus NC group or OP group, versus HG1 group, and versus HG2 group).
