Upregulation of Tumor Necrosis Factor-α-Induced Protein 8-Like 2 mRNA Is Negatively Correlated with Serum Concentrations of Tumor Necrosis Factor-α and Interleukin 6 in Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus

<div>Correlation analysis between the mRNA levels of TIPE2 and the serum concentrations of HbA1c and LDL-C in T2DM patients. TIPE2 mRNA expression was determined by RT-PCR, and the serum concentrations of HbA1c and LDL-C in T2DM patients were determined by HPLC and standard colorimetric-based enzymatic kits, respectively. Pearson’s correlation analysis was done. A positive correlation was found between TIPE2 mRNA and HbA1c in T2DM patients (a). There was a tendency for a positive correlation between the mRNA levels of TIPE2 and the serum concentrations of LDL-C in T2DM patients (b). Every point shows information from one participant.</div>
