Associations of verbal memory test results with body mass index (BMI) and crystallized intelligence as assessed by multiple choice word test B (MWT-B) in individuals with recently diagnosed type 1 (a) and type 2 diabetes (b). Verbal memory was predicted for arbitrary individuals with varying BMI or MWT-B, but with fixed values for the other included covariates ( value, HbA1c, hsCRP, age, and sex).
