The close association between fasting plasma glucose (FPG) and acute insulin response (AIR). (a) AIR disappeared when FPG > 10 mmol/L, and it was negatively associated with FPG when FPG < 0 mmol/L. (b) FPG after SIIT was negatively correlated with ∆AIR.
