Recent Advances in Radars, Radar Antennas, and Radar Signal Processing Techniques

Call for Papers

With the development of electronic hardware and computer systems for the recent years, researches on radar and radar technologies have been widened to innumerous applications. While the main motivation was originated from military purposes, the focused technologies have been switching to civil applications such as automotive radars, obstacle penetrating radars, and medical imaging radars.

The need for faster and more accurate signal processing routines in the detection, localization, imaging, and classification of radar targets still continues. The difficulties in processing the big raw radar data also need to be improved in radar technologies like SAR and ISAR. Miniaturized antennas and sensors promise very handy radar systems especially on medical applications.

In this special issue, the main aim is to publish high-quality research papers that report the results of fresh research activities on different radar technologies. This issue is also open for review articles addressing and summarizing the recent state of understanding the concepts on selected radar applications. Original, high quality contributions that are not yet published or that are not currently under review by other journals or peer-reviewed conferences are welcome.
