Machine Intelligence in Signal Sensing, Processing, and Recognition

Call for Papers

In recent years, machine intelligence has become a well-established research area and attracts a number of researchers in many scientific fields, ranging from science and engineering, for example, robotics, artificial intelligence, big data, IoT, and smart things. Many communities such as signal processing, intelligent sensing, image/video processing, computer vision, machine learning, deep learning, and transfer learning have joined the research of machine intelligence.

This special issue aims at creating a multidisciplinary forum on recent advances in signal processing and machine learning theory/algorithms, applications to image/video analysis, multimedia analysis, heterogeneous data analysis, robotics, rich data mining, object recognition, remote sensing, sensors/multisensor array, intelligent systems, faults detection in electrical, and so forth. All accepted papers will show a strong connection to machine intelligence in these areas. This issue accepts high quality articles containing original research results and merit. It will let readers of this journal know more about the area of engineering in electrical and computer.

Potential topics include but are not limited to the following:

  • Signal processing
  • Deep learning
  • Intelligent algorithms and applications
  • Transfer learning
  • Extreme learning machines
  • Electronic sensing
  • Remote sensing
  • Electrical engineering
  • Smart grid analysis
  • Machine learning
