Biomechanics and Bioengineering of Orthopaedic and Cardiovascular Rehabilitation

Description

Rehabilitation describes specialized healthcare dedicated to improving, maintaining, or restoring physiological strength, cognition, and mobility with maximized results. It helps an individual achieve the highest level of function or greatest independence and quality of life possible after illness, injury, or surgery using physical training, instruments, devices, or other methods. Advance in rehabilitation, including the theory, paradigm, protocol, modality, invention, and engineering, can improve the development of modern medicine, and also the quality of life especially for the disabled and elderly people.

We invite investigators to contribute original research articles as well as review articles that address the mechanisms and significance of rehabilitation modalities and protocols, as well as invention or development of rehabilitation device.

Potential topics include but are not limited to the following:

  • Rehabilitation methods or invention of devices for orthopaedic and cardiovascular disease and surgery
  • Mechanism of postoperative or postinjury management, injury, and degenerative disease in the field of orthopaedics and cardiology
  • Design and analysis of surgery implant and protective equipment
  • Biomechanics of sport and occupational manoeuvre, injury, and rehabilitation
  • Design and evaluation of prosthetics and orthotics
  • Physical training and rehabilitation for elderly or disabled people
