Cytokine production in Mtb-infected or LPS-treated human monocytes. Monocytes were infected with Mtb (MOI = 1) or treated with LPS (1 μg/ml). After 24 hr cell culture supernatants were collected and determination of cytokine content was performed by CBA or ELISA. The results represent the mean ± SE of four separate experiments performed with different donors.
