Tubulointerstitial fibrosis was detected by Masson’s Trichrome staining (a–f). IR did cause more collagen deposition compared with the normal or ischemia only group. The typical striped interstitial fibrosis and significantly increased extracellular collagen deposition in the cortex (400x) were shown in the IR + CsA group in comparison to the IR group, which was significantly lowered by HBSP (g).
