Immune-Stimulatory and Therapeutic Activity of Tinospora cordifolia: Double-Edged Sword against Salmonellosis

The levels of SOD and CAT in the spleen tissue homogenates of Salmonella-infected mice untreated or treated with AETC or METC. The spleen was taken from the mice of various groups on day 5 posttreatment. The spleen tissues were rinsed in cold phosphate-buffered saline (PBS) and homogenized in PBS followed by centrifugation at 5000 to collect the supernatant. The activities of (a) SOD and (b) CAT were determined in the supernatants. Results shown are representative of three independent experiments and presented here as mean ± SD. as compared to untreated infected mice.
